Pre cut the armour with a hacksaw about half way through all the way round before you remove the sheath, then all you need to do is bend them back on themselves and they snap off easy, then take the outer sheath back another inch or so depending on size. Take your time to get a nice even cut on the armouring cause a stray armour wire can be a right pain in the arse when trying to fit the gland.
