Reports suggest that Johnson is going to tell the US to go and do one

Over this Huwei caper

As he poised to give the green light to the Chinese to develop Part of the UKs 5G net work

Im sure I have already seen an ISP using their routers.

Ha ha ha

Chestbeating from Johnson.
Like digital tax

Johnson has intention of going through with digital tax
Think about it.

Johnson is making lots of noise about digital tax
The US will say no and the UK use it as a bargaining chip to get a concession.
Johnson will give in and its cost him nothing because he was never going to do it anyway.

All members of the 5 eyes have banned Huawei afaik

Not just the yanks

Makes sense banning them from sensitive areas, but the ordinary punter would hardly have anything to interest the Chinese.

In the news again today.
Surprised to learn that Huawei tech has been in BT infrastructure since 2003

Some details here:
"BT is responsible for large parts of the UK’s telecommunications infrastructure. In 2003, it embarked on a £10bn rationalisation and upgrade project, called 21st Century Network. Huawei was among those companies selected to supply the equipment required."

Is it true that Google apps no longer work on Huawei phones?

All getting a bit crazy,.

Now we await the retaliation for Huwai and Hong Kong - May be in a cyber attack they will just switch off all the electronics and computers on HMS Queen Elizabeth that we have just sent out to intimidate them - what's all that about anyway, does our all singing all dancing super airfart carrier have any aircraft on it yet? or are we just going to frighten them with apparently the loudest ships horn in the world

I may be tempted to draw some cash before the banks go into meltdown ;)

The newer handsets, yes. Not only have Huawei had to develop their own app store, they have written their own operating system software, as Android is now part of Google.
