As above, we have idiots letting off fireworks down our street. It’s getting earlier and earlier. Scared the life out of our cat - it’s climbed straight to the top of our Christmas tree.

    Ha, Christmas tree..!

Yep, heard them for the first time tonight too.
Was wondering if more people will do them in their homes this year, I presume large displays are cancelled.

Yes some pyromaniac was setting off some rockets for about 20 mins up here tonight as well??

First time this year for us?

Really annoying for me as I cannot get to any of my shooting competitions at present, i like to hear bangs so long as I am squeezing the trigger, in a highly controlled environment, not in an un-regulated way ??

    Remember the Jumpy Jack?
These were dramatically effective when ignited on the bottom deck of a bus.
There again, I was a thoroughly poisonous little boy.

I made my own firework once - the fuse from a banger taped to the shell from an air bomb and set it off in the stairwell of a block of flats about 6.00 one morning when I was delivering papers. What a noise - I bet it woke a fair few people up that morning!

I remember them, they were banned as they had a tendency to jump into your wellies.
