I was following through on the argument from another poster that religions get more moderate as they get older. It is something I've heard several times before. People often argue that Muslims are still at the stage Christians were at 600 year ago. I don't actually believe it.

I don't know the reason. But this explanation has always seemed far too simple. And as I posted above, following your logic, there shouldn't be any fundamentalist Jews by now.
