If there was a general election tomorrow….

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I am asking if there were consistent polls showing that a large majority of the UK wants to re-join, and this happens well before your twenty year timescale, would another referendum make sense at that time.
But you haven't given a time frame. I think I've made my points quite clear in the back and forth we have had.

I see what you mean now. I suppose the length of time would depend on the strength of the opinion. If in the next couple of years 90% of people consistently wanted to re-join, would you support a referendum. If in 5 years time it was 75%, would you support it. And so on.

A bit like raising a petition to be read in the house of commons?

That could be interesting

Is speculation where you draw the line ;)
Lol, we don't even have the party or parties names yet! Let alone policies. I could speculate but I would be second guessing and conspiracy theorising, I'll leave that for the Declassification of the JFK, RFK, MLK, KKK thread ;)

Would it make any difference?, Labour have already proven they will say one thing to get votes and then do the opposite.

Suppose there's always the chance that Reform will also promise the world and not deliver if not elected. They're all politicians after all. Likely that nearer next election Labour and Cons will steal Reform policies, but predictably renege on them when elected. No faith in any of them.

That's Starmer's line, trying to focus on non existant right wing terrorism, to deflect attention from the real terrorism the carnage inflicted here and elsewhere by muslims.
There are non-practising Muslims like in my family who assimilated into the British way of life, married white Brits, had mixed race kids and left Islam back in their home country. But you're right, there is too many of the other kind here causing carnage.

That is correct.

That is also correct.

And then there are the overwhelming majority who have married other muslims, are still religious, but just get on with their normal lives peacefully and respectfully.

Are you Muslim or have Muslim relatives here in the UK?
