is this feed and vent setup weird?

thanks yeah, I tried blowing down the pipe I disconnected of the pump inlet on the return pipe but not strong enough to move blockage . How would I fare connecting hose with mains water pressure to the boiler drain tap and reverse flushing the system that way? - i realise it will most probably collect up in the header tank but then it should just come through the overflow pipe underneath the house eaves.

You will have to clear/flush it any way that works and flush out rads etc then use a chemical (don't know what is best but search on here) and circulate that for a few days/weeks and then repeatedly drain/flush the whole system and finally treat it with inhihitor.

I have syphoned/drained down F&E tank today and put some Sentinel x800 cleaner in the tank today. Going to leave it for 24hrs and see what it does. i have tried sucking it out with wet and dry vac both flow and return pipes , then I tried sticking garden hose with water to flush it through bot pipes and that never cleared it either so i am trying this x800 cleaner and see what that will do. if that don't shift it I might get the powerwasher at it. - must be really badly blocked.

just coming back with an update to say all fixed now and central heating working now as it should. water getting to boiler now and radiators getting hot . I cut out the blocked multilayer pipe and the junction where the blockage was in and replaced it with copper pipe and compression fittings.thanks for everyone's help who answered.
