Jab Or No Jab?

Our current lot are on cloud 9 thanks to achieving brexit, something they didn't fully expect to do. Recent sleaze problems have bought them down a bit. They will use covid as an excuse for several things that may happen in future years and perhaps some of us may wonder why other countries didn't have the same problems with it. The bank crisis and perpetual low interest rates are an example of that. Sick country in some ways. Some of that is down to how the world works. Business in general too.

The coal problems era has other aspects. One is China could get better quality coal to our docks for less than it costed here to get it to the pit head. Not true of all pits which is why some new mines still get opened. Inadequate pay rises are nothing unusual. I'm wondering when the next fireman strike will happen. We have had NHS workers demo's. These seem to relate to changes in contracts of employment. An easy thing to do now for rather a long time. Similar has been done elsewhere.

Privitisation is far more interesting as is Tory use of Corbynism.

LOL What has all of this to do with the thread title.

Oh dear! A very short potted history (with lots of detail missed, but it doesn't matter because I know few will bother to read it); the far-right German Workers Party (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or DAP) renamed itself as the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei or NSDAP) in February 1920. Hitler had originally wanted to rename the party Social Revolutionary Party (Sozialrevolutionäre Partei) in order to distance the party from association with socialism, but was persuaded to use the "NS" part of the party name in order to align fledgling NSDAP with the Austrian political party the German National Socialist Workers' Party (Deutsche Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei or DNSAP) which espoused attacks on Capitalism, Democracy, alien peoples, and Jews. The DNSAP was commited to anti-Slavism, anti-clericalism, anti-capitalism and anti-semitism, all of which principles were adopted by the Nazis early on. Those "principles" are in no way socialist - the name was what the Yanks call a "shill" (con) to bring people in

It doesn't matter how much they claim to have put in, the plain fact is that this country of ours, the 7th richest in the world, has in recent years seen child poverty rapidly increase, not decrease. So I'll counter your comment with some earlier comments I made which seems almost incontravertable, but which you have not rebutted, namely

You didn't respond to those home truths last time I wrote them, I doubt you'll respond this time

Absolutely mental!

But thanks for the laughs!
