Liverpool Hospital Explosion

but he wasn't - his asylum application failed - we can only guess as to why he choose to blow up a hospital full of pregnant women and babies, but it wasn't because he had escaped war, violence, persecution... or he would have been granted asylum
the problem in this country with illegal immigration -is not those arriving by boat, its the visa overstayers which the govt dont chase up.

if this guys asylum application failed, he should have been deported.

failed 7 years ago - the mental health issues is this country letting failed asylum seekers hang around so long. And considering they are breaking into the country at over a 1000 a day - the future is bleak
7/7 bombers and Manchester Arena bombers were UK born.

What do you intend to do?

That much of the terrorism in the UK has been home grown.
Not on a pro rata basis. we may be have only 500,000 failed asylum seekers out of a population of nearly 70 million

I think it's been explained that he was heading for the Church. He was mentally disturbed. There is no rational explanation for his actions.
You might as well ask a dog why he's chasing a cat.
I gather you're familiar with his application and the reason for his failed asylum? Or you're just speculating?

It takes cooperation to deport someone, you can't just unilaterally deport someone, to where?

UK ought to ascertain that if an asylum is going to be denied, and there is no chance of them actually being deported, what to do.

A random list I found has:
7/7 - UK born attackers
Manchester Bombing: UK born attacker
Lee Rigby muder: UK born attacker
2017 Westminster attack: UK born attacker

There have been a few that have come over from various parts of the world, but it would be a grave mistake to assume that they mostly immigrants.

In fact people who live in the UK have more time to plan such attacks. The 7/7 attack took planning, to make the bombs, and work out where to go. Someone coming from far off country would struggle to carry out such an atrocity.

If only 1:500 to 1:1000 of our population are illegals, then, if they are committing terrorist attacks at a greater rate then 1:500 then they are a greater danger. Its simple maths

We must have an abundance of rubber dinghies now, can they not head off in one of those and break into someone else's country.

------------------------

On a side note, where are all the rubber dinghies? would anyone fall off their seats in amazement if Boris and his sleazy tory party cronies are selling them back to the people smuggles for a bit extra cash in their back pockets.

A bit like the 'war on drugs' the 'war on terror' will never be won, whatever 'won' would mean in this context. And stopping people that go rogue on their own and out of the blue is nigh on impossible, no matter what their race, religion and gripe.

If people think mass migration is bad now, wait until 30+ years. Ok many reading this will be dead or on the final straight by then, however if predictions around climate change are to be believed, hundreds of millions will be displaced, seeking refuge in other countries.

If it failed, why was he still here?
