If the evidence has been provided by the Met then he'll more likely walk out of court as innocent as he was when he walked in.

I reckon the Met already got the main ones first time round but then they started tampering with the evidence and weren't smart enough to cover their tracks.
 
I calculate he was 16 when he (allegedly) did it.
 
How did they manage to pick four individuals out from a murderous gang. Did they cctv back then?
 
Nah, they just rounded up all the people they reckon might know something about it and made life uncomfortable for them in the cells over the next few days. Eventually they got some names out of them who fitted what they wanted to hear. Then they stuffed up the recording and presentation of the evidence.

So ironically the actions of the Met mean't the guys who probably killed their colleague got away with it.
 
There is no time limit on justice, police in Germany arrested a 93 year old man for war crimes allegedly committed 70 years ago.
