Mass shooting in Plymouth!

They spend £millions on "Elf n Seffty" in the workplace, yet most 'accidental' deaths occur in the home.

We need to ban 'homes'. If you value your life & the lives of your families you MUST immediately evacuate your home.

Statistics tell us that most ' accidental' deaths occur on the staircase, so you might think you OK if you live in a bungalow. You are wrong, the 2nd most popular place to have your 'accidental' death is the living room, so maybe you think it's OK to live in a bungalow so long as you don't go in the living room? You are WRONG again, the next most dangerous place is the kitchen.

As it is incredibly dangerous to live in a domicile that has a staircase, a living room or a kitchen, we need to seriously rethink about where exactly where we lay our hat.

I am currently laid flat on my lawn, standing up on my lawn is now the single most dangerous place to be after we banned fire, lecktrishity & all those other things . . . .

One of my first jobs as a surveyor was with a housing association and had to deal with a loft full of pigeons. I contacted a pest control firm who sent out (I kid you not) an assassin. He sat there on a little stool for about 45 minutes with an air rifle and shot the lot of them.

If you think that doctors should be held legally responsible for reporting any & all mental illness then you away with the faeries.

Actually there have been strong political arguments for the fact that a person holds a FAC should be noted on their medical records. Pretty recently too.

It makes a lot of sense compared with what appears to be going on at the moment. Currently it appears that some one has to go to their GP or another one for an opinion on if they should hold a FAC. It's hardly surprising that some do not want to do that and some it seems charge £50, bit of a clue. The reason many are likely to say no I am not going to do it is that they don't want the responsibility and while all seems ok when they do it that may not last. Some one may see a GP who wont help as antishooting. There may be some but the other reason is also pretty likely.

GP's though reminds me of sick notes. There was an attempt to make people who were off sick get one. One of my GP's mentioned their attitude. They are a strong professional body and all were refusing to go along with it. Along came self certification. Actually they are generally unlikely to issue any at all now. It can be tough to get them to do anything. Correct attitude in this case too really. Lots of people might have a day or so off with a cold or whatever and they have enough trouble seeing patients as it was without adding more for conditions they can't do anything about anyway. Our local GP has switched to a different sort of appointment variation. Ask for one and you may find it's available in 3 or 4 days and that is usually as it is.

I have an FAC
Then you should not be posting the nonsense you have been.

You are being irresponsibly counterproductive and unhelpful to the cause of responsible gun ownership.

If you want gun owners to be regarded as sensible people youre not going about it in the right way.

yep 14000 fruit cakes clogging up the system ( NHS)
Can you explain how 14,000 people who are on a waiting list because the system is not providing enough capacity to prevent a waiting list from building up can be clogging up the system?

An explanation which works, BTW, and survives logical analysis and investigation of facts.

I think he is telling fibs and doesn't own one. I'm well aware of FAC holders opinions in this area and also gun owners in general. They take it very seriously as they want to continue to do what they currently do.

So being a bit of fruitcake what to do - pretend that he holds one and post as he does.

they are clogging up the system with there nonsense and those who require genuine help for important issues are in the same que
For what other medical conditions do people share a need for access to gender dysphoria counselling?

And anyway - in your way of thinking gender dysphoria and a desire to transition to a different gender is utter madness, so arent people who believe themselves to be a different gender suffering from a mad delusion and therefore suffering from a mental health condition?

'Practical Shotgun' is a sport, but having been to a range shooting next door to them I do wonder if it should be allowed. It's hardly clay pigeon shooting or target shooting.
What do they shoot at then, if not targets? I know its not each other....

What if you don't have a FB or social media profile?
Good question.

In this Air gun club we use Facebook as the main contact point, we have a designated member who vets all applications from this source, first thing he does is to check back over the profile on Facebook for that person.
That would put me in a bind.

I do not use Facebook.

I will not use Facebook.

I do not think that any civilised person or organisation should use Facebook.

Facebook is a vast number of problems and no solutions.

Facebook is used to subvert democratic elections.

Facebook is used to bully vulnerable people to the point where they take their own lives.

Facebook is used to promote dangerous and destabilising ideologies based on denials of truth and facts and evidence.

Facebook does nothing about any of this, and should be shut down.

Stupid people think everyone else is equally as stupid. Some are so stupid they don't even know just how stupid they are.

It is not good that some stupid folk actually do own guns. Guns are dumb, they need someone not stupid to own them.

In the world I live in it is considered that prohibition does not work, it never has & it never will. Can any of the stupid people name one instance where prohibition has worked or is indeed working?

Neither does making the rules more difficult. The more difficult you make the rules the more you tempt people into ignoring the rules. A bit like prohibition. We currently have a prohibition on handguns, today you can buy a handgun from the boot of a car & the going rate is £500. Few people would know you had it & you wouldn't have to follow any rules.

Then we have criminals & those up to mischief, they don't tend to follow many rules.

Those of us who are responsible gun owners know what we're doing & the system works well, of course it can always be improved. The absolutely last thing we need is stupid people trying to tell us we're doing it wrong by telling us wrong things to do.

Nuclear materials proliferation.

This is already a requirement........

"The police will ask your GP to place an encoded reminder on your patient record to indicate that you have been issued with a firearm or shotgun certificate. The GP is asked to notify the police if, following issue of the certificate, you are diagnosed with or treated for a relevant medical condition (listed above), or if the GP has other concerns about your possession of a certificate that might affect your safe possession of firearms."
