Missing child

thermo, that must have been very stressful at times.

i was on one of the search teams at the time, the whole way through the investigation. We worked without a day off from the day after she went till a few days after she was found. We worked 14-16 hour days. I was like a zombie by the end of it. Some days we were just so knackered we could hardly stand up, but you kept going. Sometimes you lost sight of what you were actually doing, and i remember the grand parents coming up to us when we standing by the roadside and thanking us for what we were doing. It kind of refocused your attention.

i worked next to her in the field where she was found and was there when they bought her out. There were about 20 of us standing there, not one dry eye amongst us. My girl was the same age at the time. i went home got into bed and broke down sobbing for about an hour. We knew what the outcome was going to be before she was found and were pretty certain of what happened, so we were driven by uniting her with her parents and getting the guy who had done it. Believe me when a new lead comes up (like the shoe i mentioned) and it gives you a new direction you wouldnt believe the lift it gives you.

I still feel like i let her down because we didnt find her alive, even though he had committed the murder in the first few hours. i dont like thinking about it too much and i try and avoid driving past the place where she was found. So to anyone thats bored with the media coverage or thinks that they are on a glory seeking crusade, think again. They want their little girl back and are doing whatever they can.

here here. i wouldn't swap my job with a rozzer at any price.

If the couple are portrayed wrongly by the media then it could hinder public support.

They will be being scrutinised every waking minute.
We all know that some of us may even have considered that they may been responsible , as in played a part in, her disappearance, themselves.

According to a newspaper I read, it seems that they were in Germany, and a German reporter practically accused them of having a hand in it.

Also according to other reports, that the way they are behaving is not normal in the circumstances.

I mean, how are they supposed to behave?, they have 2 other kids that need thier parents, are they meant to slash thier wrists?, gas themselves?, they have to carry on for the sake of thier other kids, and for thier own sake, if they have no hope, then it might be a different ball game.
