On this occasion, having just reviewed the vessel data for the RNLI rescue boat MSSI 23200248, its very curious how this vessel ended up less than 5.7nm from the coast of France, having been scrambled from dover. It then chooses to "return" the rescued "seafarers" to to the UK instead of France.

Yep. That’s why the French don’t do anything to those living rough along the beaches of Calais. They know they will soon be our problem.
If only we could think of some way to take control of the situation. But no, we do nothing but blame everybody else..
 
Why, when your in French waters close to a port.
The Channel aint that big boyo. You could swim across it. No big deal returning to your own dock.
