Hiya, I have a Citadel/ADE security alarm system on an outbuilding which needs a new bell box.

Have chosen a Challenger AU1000WBX bell box.

Matching the wiring up seems very easy, the instructions have details for an ADE system.

strobe-...strobe-
12v V+...D
12v V-...A
rtn...T
trig...B

When the alarm is set, all seems well.

However, when the alarm is deliberately activated, the bell box will not silence when the code is entered, I have to shut it up by removing the battery plug inside the new bell box.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Inside the bell box unit I have selected SCB instead of SAB, via a small switch.

I should point out there are some dip switches inside the unit.

I'm not there at the moment, but any pointers you may have will be appreciated.

I tried the bell box set to sab,but it didn't make any difference.

The terminals in the panel are marked up scb, which I why I probably set the bell box to scb in the first place.

It seems when I connect the bell box up, after about two minutes the bell box siren will go off, regardless of whether the alatm is set.

Don’t be fooled on what ADE panels say as they operate as SAB , not old school SCB ( which where negative removed)

Terminals at panel are
+ strobe (unused)
- strobe
scb T
scb A
bell D +
bell B -
set (unused)

Wiring code;
panel strobe - ......bell box stobe - yellow wire
panel D beii + ......bell box v+ dc 12v in red wire
panel A (scb) ......bell box v- dc 12v in green wire
panel T (scb) ......bell box rtn - white wire
panel B bell - ......bell box trig black wire
