Also, yesterday the most noisiest BMW flew past me when I was on my bike and nearly made me jump out of my skin. It must have had an exhaust by-pass on it. The number plate was…OK 55HHH.

What come first ? The company name or the plate?

Personally, I think it's clutching at straws.

You want a reg that means something to you, but you have to f about with the layout to do it.

Some people pay for a reg that is not personal to them but the car. There's a couple round here starting or ending BMW.

Others buy registration numbers that read something, but it's hard to understand how it relates to the owner, if it does at all.

There's a Golf round the corner with the plate TR10 DUO.
 
I have 2 cars both with mine and the wifes initials and the relevant age related year digits. Makes life easy checking into hotels etc easy as I just have to remember which car I am in.

Also makes it easy for you to know who's cars who. And how old you are
