Hello,

We have an old fuse switch in our hall, its off and was once for the Alarm which has since been replaced. I want to cover the wall with those acoustic wall board jobbies but done want to cut the boards out around it as it will look bobbins. Can I remove the front and connect the wires into a terminal block and put a flush cover over the front so future folk will see there is something there please?

According to the big book the answer is - No. as there should be some visible way to indicate the presence of live cables.

EDIT: and then I read your question properly: if there is a visible electrical accessory then it is fine.
