Sausages

Richmond sausages are awful. Filled with soft pink sludge.

They are advertised as if they were a traditional quality brand.

I agree, but what are good quality ones? A friend suggested Heck, claiming they were good quality, but they tasted even worse.

The only source we have found is our high street butcher.

A down sided to Brexit

Good quality genuine Leberwurzt may be harder to get in the UK

My favourite is Thüringer Rostbratwurst but is best eaten in Germany

Heck sausages really aren't pleasant, I guess they must contain a certain amount of crap to taste good.

Heck do have a very high meat content, but they haven't got the mix quite right. Aldi continental imports are usually good. I quite like this one too:

The supermarket "own-brand" low-fat pork sossijes tend to have high meat content.

Local butchers making their own from left-overs can be very good.

Best bangers I ever had were from a butcher's in Keswick, they were sublime. Streets ahead of any other sausage I've eaten, though God knows what was in them.

I made the mistake of trying andouille sausage in Brittany.

(The rings you can see are intestines)

I've had that vomit myself. They get very excited about it, that and Gallettes which are a kind of pancake with holes in.
