Strimmer dripping fuel

Today seemed to have a smell of fuel in the garden.
Walking past my petrol strimmer i noticed fuel dripping from the air filter case.

I unscrewed the fuel tank cap & could here a whoosh of air.

Is this because of the heat & creating pressure within ?

Yes, pretty common when the ambient temperature is high.
Might be worth trying to start up without choke!

I will leave it undone slightly.

Throttle cable now fitted and is all ok.
Just awaiting some spiral conduit to put around throttle cable & kill switch wires then complete.
