I agree Austria should adopt a minimum wage for workers. They've exploited workers for far too long already.

Other EU countries have equal or higher minimum wages than UK
six provided minimum wages of a least €1,500 per month: France (€1,555), Germany (€1,614), Belgium (€1,626), the Netherlands (€1,685), Ireland (€1,724) and Luxembourg (€2,202) (Chart 1).

UK has a minimum wage of €1598 per month.
But that is based on an hourly rate and is avoided by using other methods of exploiting workers.

Owens Group in Carmarthenshire said it had lost 50 drivers who were EU citizens, as they did not meet the new criteria for skilled work visas.
So are you saying that there are no EU citizens living in the U.K. that are working as HGV drivers now?

I'm fine with it. Typically warnings about upcoming price rises with no deal, or the next to no deal we went with, were dismissed as project fear.
MINISTERS were accused of "scaremongering" last night after releasing documents warning of food shortages, price hikes and travel delays if Britain quits the EU without a deal.

I like to think of myself as a rejoiner.

fair enough but that is not going to happen any time soon

all this may well be a dogs breakfast but we are where we are

for what it’s worth imho there should never have been a referendum in the first place

What some are forgetting is that Brexit proper hasn't really started yet. The EU was prepared and arranged the staff and systems to cope with movement of goods into EU from UK well in advance, which is what is now causing big problems for UK exporters because of the extra delays and red tape. Not the fault of The EU, we voted to become a third country and voted to make life difficult. However we haven't hired the customs officials that Gove and others kept saying we were recruiting in their thousands to handle checks of all goods EU to UK.

So unlike The EU who started their checks in Jan, we had to delay checking EU imports until now, but Bozo and Co still can't get their schitt together so talking about delaying again to end of year. So only half of Brexit import checks taking place - the real problems in supply will be when we have to finally implement these checks. Can't put the checks off for ever, because US and other exporters to UK will be asking why EU goods enter UK check free, and theirs don't. What a farce!

What a farce!
And all predicted...

Of course brexiteers will blame anyone but themselves...

But they could follow the words of Tebbit, albeit in a new era - get in the cab!

Some of course would rather take money for nothing!
