Does Switzerland have problems ? No

It's a fiasco and a red herring, specious delaying tactic by the remainiacal losing voters in the democratic referendum. The losing side of the argument just cannot accept the majority decision.

And before silly people try saying " oh it was close you only won by so many million " it's irrelevant the out's took the day.

Outs won !!!!!!!

I dont recall Switzerland having problems having problems with dissentients claiming ownership of their country in the last century,
I realise that Brexiteers want to bring back the "Good Old Days" but the last thing this Country wants is to bring back the Irish Border

There already is a border, it has been there for almost 100 years.
Two separate jurisdictions, different currencies, tax rates, laws ect.
The Irish border issue is being used by the EU and the Southern government to screw money and concessions from the UK.
The Southern government in particular would like to see the defacto partition of the UK , one part under the control of the EU with the other part footing the bill.

I do not suppose the UK would bemoan the inclusion of RoI into the UK.
So, as noseall would say, parity, parity.

Could be the only practical solution, a United Ireland within the UK.

The territorial integrity of the British Isles would be restored

Of course it may require a degree of regime change in the South

Mrs Varadkar could always go back to India and ride around on his elephant.

Practical for whom, acceptable to whom?

At the cost of another country's territorial integrity.

Is the UK good at that?

Mrs Varadkar could always go back to India and ride around on his elephant.
Do I detect a hint of racism creeping in?
Kind of destroys the integrity of your arguments, do you not think?

Some people seem to be forgetting that no border on the Island of Ireland is set in law within the Good Friday Agreement.
Thus it is totally different from Switzerland!

But in order to maintain that, there has to be freedom of movement between the EU and a part of the UK.

Which Brexiteers (who didn't even consider the consequences) won't countenance, so we'll be at an impasse.

Of course if there is a different treatment of Northern Ireland (who voted to remain) to the rest of the UK, then that will be objected to as well, so again an impasse.

If this lunacy isn't reversed, I wonder how long it will be before we could see a call for a 'United Ireland'?
Of course were that to happen, then it's possible that we could see the return of the paramiltaries!

Scotland (on seeing the mess created and who also voted to remain) will in all likelihood go for another independence vote, thus potentially leaving the 'UK' as only England and Wales.
(The Welsh don't seem to have the balls to think about going it alone!)

Thus the 'UK' will fall out of the top ten world economies, face pressure to give up their permanent seat at the UN, and lose whatever influence we still claim to have on world affairs.

But at least we will have got (a bit of) our country back, whatever that means!

PS. It might be an idea to bookmark this topic and revisit it in about 10 years time ;)

We have yet to sort out the Border issue of Spain and Gibraltar, 98% of Gibraltarians voted to stay in the EU for freedom of movement and allied to this Country, Well it seems they cannot have both,
Do we hand over Gib to Spain or create a border , No one wants to talk about that problem .

One of the lunatic Brexiteer newspapers suggested Britain should have a war with Spain.
