What are you having for breakfast?

Sometimes I have a big plate of a breakfast, could be any time of day.

Usually a base of toast, with mushrooms if we have them, then a choice of Quorn sausages, veggie bacon, tinned toms topped with a couple of fried eggs and a dusting of pepper.

Very good.

Recently we went to a vegan supermarket that we like and they had sosmix, which I last bought decades ago! So I got a bag of that and made it up, not as sausages but as burgers, which I then froze.

One minute in a microwave and then I fry them for a few mins on each side.

Very tasty.

What seasoning did you use to give it flavour?
I tried that stuff before but couldn't get on with it at all.

I would think of giving it a try but looking it up, it’s not suitable for Mrs Mottie as it’s no good for gluten intolerant/coeliacs plus it has palm oil which we avoid.

This morning I had weetabix, oats, yoghurt, milled flaxseed, sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, dried cranberries, banana and honey. Sadly, no room for the tinned sardines….

Bloody hell I bet you've got stuff growing out of your ears... :-)

Today there were 3 slices left in the bag, so I had to have all 3. I'm stuffed.

I know how you feel! This morning Sainsburys sent me four egg custards rather than two, and because I have no self control I ate them all.

We had a pot of cream in the fridge that had not been opened last week but was a day out of date. Mrs Mottie will not touch anything past midnight of the 'use by' date. I was going to chuck it away. I opened it, tested it, it smelled fine, tasted fine, she wasn't about so I drunk the lot. That filled me up. I was in a cream coma.
