Someone still has a problem with maths...

51.9% of 'eligible voters' didn't vote for what you wanted...

Only 36% of the electorate (eligible voters) did so

Is that right?
Okay then. 51.9% of those that could be bothered to get off their arse or fill in a postal vote form compared to the 48.1% that could in the Brexit referendum. Happy now? Anyway, why do you assume that the lazy *******s of both leavers and remainers that couldn’t be bothered to vote would have voted disproportionately to those that did? Gut feeling? Intuition? Wishful thinking? Are you saying the remainers were an apathetic bunch that thought they had it in the bag so didn’t bother voting? Tut tut - they’re a lazy bunch of ****s then aren’t they?

A load of lies? What gullible twonk actually voted for that? Hands-up any voter that got the something they were promised, lol.
How did you vote in the last GE and why? Hands up any voter in the last 30 years that got everything they were promised.

The strike has more support from it's members than Boris got from his own MPs.

Not those who votes remain. Like they knew the future of the EU to say they wanted in no matter what changes occurred.

Neither voter could be sure what the future would hold.

Thus 36% of the electorate...

You've finally acknowledged it (y)

Why is politics in general met with varying levels of apathy?

The largest proportion of non voters was the young, and they have been shown in every study to have most likely been remain voters...

Which is why there will be another EU vote fairly soon...

Because their votes will be needed by whoever wishes to form a government, and they will have seen no advantages of not being in the EU, and experienced the lost opportunities!

Were you guaranteed the status quo?
That's a loaded question. However, I can't see that much has changed for members of the EU in the six years since we left.

The flipside is a wholly different matter:
Immigration - Hard working European migration has dried up considerably whilst being replaced with even greater numbers from elsewhere. UK labour shortages abound.
Brexit 0 -1 Remain
We send £350 million p/week to the EU, lets give it to the NHS instead - Brexit has cost the UK more than our entire contributions to the EU since membership began.
Brexit 0 -1 Remain
We can trade freely with other countries, we don't need the single market - read here. Import/export is down and is having a detrimental effect on the UK.
Brexit 0 -1 Remain
We can set our own rules and laws - There is some sway for Brexit here as was shown during the pandemic whilst acquiring vaccination doses. However, those folks asking why a plane load of refugees was scuppered by EHCR rules will be left scratching their heads.
Brexit 1-1 Remain

Broadly speaking, Brexit has turned out exactly as (those that tell the truth) predicted. An utter pile of poo.

If the EU had stayed as a single market with some alignment on standards, I'd have voted remain. it makes sense for countries to have trade agreements. It doesn't make sense to recruit ever poorer countries to be funded by the wealthier countries and to have ever more scope to be consumed by an organisation that was largely becoming a United States of Europe.

Well then its tough tit. If they are too lazy to vote I can't have them deciding my future.
