Its not sitting on the fence it is understanding the situation.

a banner that says white lives matter is not offensive-how can it be?..... but the people who paid for it, did so to be inflammatory.

think about it

Or maybe they were protesting.... Didn't hurt anybody.. Not making a martyr out of a criminal, didn't wreck anyones business. Make no racist remarks..

Do you not agree with protest

Well at least it has put Burnley on the map.

Don't suppose they will. Be bothered about being banned for life by the foot ball club

The number of whities that have expressed their faux-offence is amazing. It's as if you are obligated to speak out even if you have no clue as to why.

I see the the non-white populous seem to be much less offended.

I see it as Brand management. It costs nothing for Harry Potter to speak out in support of LGBT++ or for white footballers to kneel. I suspect the police investigation is either because its one of those non-crime, hate, non-hate incidents that needs a thorough and expensive investigation only for someone to be severely punished with "words of wisdom", which I've always found a bit of an oxymoron given the average intellect of plod. Or there is a slim chance it fits a public order offence - http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1994/33/section/154

There is some basis to make a section 154 stick.

Define structural inequality and social justice. (Vinty)

"Institutional racism consists of the collective failure of an organisation to provide an appropriate and professional service to people because of their colour, culture or ethnic origin. It can be seen or detected in processes, attitudes and behaviour which amount to discrimination through unwitting prejudice, ignorance, thoughtlessness, and racist stereotyping which disadvantage minority ethnic people."

"discrimination through unwitting prejudice, ignorance, thoughtlessness, and racist stereotyping which disadvantage minority ethnic people." amply demonstrated by many.

Social justice is a concept of fair and just relations between the individual and society, as measured by the distribution of wealth, opportunities for personal activity, and social privileges.
Society ruptures this concept of fair and just relations by demonstrating unfair treatment of people of colour. It compounds this rupture by failing to address such inequality.

Structural inequality is defined as a condition where one category of people are attributed an unequal status in relation to other categories of people

The perfect example of that was segregation. But the leftover prejudice persists. See Institutional racism above. See BAME people disproportionately affected by Covid.
Hope that helps.
