its a difficult one, on one hand I see the virtue in making him suffer for the rest of his natural, he deserves to suffer. But then that is just vengeance on our behalf and we should be better than that!

A public hanging could raise a lot of money that could do good, and in away it shows mercy, but would showing such mercy waterdown the deterrent?
