Grenfell Tower fraudster admits making up family deaths - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-41844044

wonder if there are any more ????

Ladbrokes have just lowered the odds to 2:6
The National Lottery is totally corrupt because someone tried to claim the prize with a washed-out ticket.
I am, of course, playing the same game as woody and **** end: "Lets pretend to be perfectly silly".
That will undermine any argument!

Your inference is that there are no grounds for criticising a council whose sympathies (and generous spending) lie with its more prosperous residents, and not with those most in need.
No.

Thats different, you are conflating to suit your point.

Perhaps you favour tax cuts for the rich, and free doughnuts for the obese
:):):):):)

Sarcasm to deflect.

It's rumoured that there will be around twenty more deaths confirmed, so the total will top a hundred. Identities are by now being found by sifting through the ashes for such things as traces of dentures or pieces of artificial hips.

It is said that nobody can tell how many people made up some of the stains.

Children and babies leave particularly little.

so no one has reported missing people then ? children have not turned up a schools or nurseries and no one has noticed ?

pretty much sums up society tbh

no, your guess is wrong.

If you had any sympathy for the dead and bereaved you could have kept yourself informed.

pretty much sums up you tbh

The "dead" count only includes people who have been positively identified. It has been very slowly creeping up, at about the same rate that the public and the media have mostly lost interest and forgotten about Britain's hideous peacetime loss of life.

The count does not include unidentified piles of human ashes or remnants of bone or black greasy stains on the floor where the person died and burned away.

Some people think this is an official ploy so that the number of casualties announced could be misleadingly small.

Getting back to your original point Jonnnyboy, Why should I feel any shame at the failings of a borough council , I have nothing to do with? Why is it "Britain's shame" ? Has it affected your life in any way? Have you offered a room to anyone made homeless by the fire?

Yep thought not.... Your life is continuing as it always does.

What a surprise :):):) JohnD creates an inference that isnt there and then uses that as an argument

free doughnuts for the obese
Interesting idea, was it in the labour manifesto? Or do you make claim for that yourself? :D:D:D

What a surprise :):):) Woody creates an inference that isn't there and then uses that as an argument

You're quoting a news article in the OP, and making an inference regarding the content of the article (ie saving money on cladding type) and then asking another poster to read it.

So now your a conspiracy theorist! :):):):)

The total number reported is the number of deaths that have been accounted for. The investigators cant guess at the number of those not accounted for and publish some guesstimated figure

As you have said, its unknown:
It is said that nobody can tell how many people

It would be possible to say "about 120 people are feared dead, of whom 33 have been identified" which is true and accurate.

"death toll rises to 33" was a bit of a spin. The number of remains was always known to be greater. 33 didn't even include the charred bodies and piles of bones.

"Accounted for" is not what they are counting.

News management and spin are among the measures used to prevent the truth getting out.
