Youth unemployment at an all time high.

Is youth unemployment a consequence of immigration?

  • Yes. It's pretty obvious. They are taking all the jobs.

  • No. It would be just the same if the Poles hadn't arrived.

3 - Employ foreign labour

That foreign labour won't be happy cleaning bogs and serving in shops/cafes for ever. They and their children will get better qualified and experienced and start moving up the ladder. So, we will need to find more cheap, willing foreign labour from elsewhere.

All this will require more housing, roads, trains, hospitals, food , water. In a crowded country like ours, it makes no sense.

The problem is much of the British youth are not interested in working, they have seen their parents rip the benefit system apart and are apprentices to them!

~Not in my experience, all the youngsters I know either are doing sh1tty jobs or just cannot find work. And not for the lack of trying.

I see plenty that have been offered a chance with free college learning and they just don't want to know, they are not interested.
In my experience the youth of today are more interested in gooning around on their Iphones than doing a hard days work!

Amazes me how they can afford their iPhones in the first place. My partner's son is (and has been ) unemployed for the last 3 yrs, yet manages to have all the latest gadgets. Flat screen, Hi Def TV, smartphone, computer, X Box etc whereas we have an oldish Toshiba crt TV. My phone is at least 7 yrs old, an ageing PS2 and my computer breaks down almost every month now (graphics card went the other day). But at least I have a car, so I suppose I spend a majority of my income keeping that on the road.

They are demanding ridiculous money
Many of the young people who come in for interviews have never even been in a workplace. Many of them have degrees. I don't need people with degrees. I need people with the right attitude.

And the p**s poor wages he pays his foreign workforce is the one reason he's Britain's richest plumber. As for demanding ridiculous money,,, have you seen the prices Plumbers charge?

In August 2009, he employed 155 people, so not really a major employer is he?

Can't find out the ethnicity of his workforce, but he reckoned a plumber could earn anything up to and including £100,000 a year (only if he did every call out offered etc) I reckon what he really meant was that each of his plumbers could earn him, up to £100,000 per year.

During my career, I have interviewed and employed many young people. And it shames me to say this but it was often easier to teach English to foreign applicants than it is to try to instill the right work ethic in our own English speaking youth.

What has Terry Rodgers (the US artist) got to do with the price of bread?

I wonder if he employs Polish Painters.???

Just been at an "away day" with my work today at a big hotel run by a big chain (starts with M) and we encountered and interacted with a large number of the staff and not a single one (out of 24 that I counted we dealt with) were British.
Of said 24, I would estimate that only one looked over 25. I can only say that they sounded Eastern European but not more specific than that.
There must have been more than 150 staff dotted around other areas of the hotel so it makes me wonder how many were British.

My niece is 17 and desperate for work in ANY industry but just couldn't find anyone to take her on. Thankfully I work for a large company that doesn't look to immigrant labour first and she starts on Monday (with a little help from her favourite (albeit only) uncle!) :D

That's the way it is today. Don't bother training our own, leave them to turn feral - just put the work out to ready trained foreigners. It's shameful and we will all suffer for it. It gets worse every year and now the Eurozone is going down the pan it'll get very much worse. Come on people DEMAND your government does something about it.
