Oh dear. What a pity. How sad....

"The police should treat this case as they would any other crime."

My thoughts exactly...

So, in about a week they'll send the forensics van round for 10 minutes and then do bu**er all about it.

The interesting thing is, this appears to be the work of someone of average-or-above intelligence who just happened to sink to the level of vandalism for a day. Your typical mindless "neddy" (I believe this is the correct terminology in Edinburgh) wouldn't have the wits to:

1) understand the issue at hand
2) make a conscious decision to exact personal retribution
3) find out exactly where Freddy lives
4) evade the CCTV and neighbours' gaze.

I'm assuming it wasn't one of his neighbours who did it ;) [/quote]

jaysus why is everyone getting upset with him

why dont they target the donut who negoiated his contract!! surely they the ones who should be targeted.

I would be well chuffed to walk away from a mess of my making with a sky rocket packed full of folding due to some numpties mistake on my leagal and above board contract

:)

Because he was offered the chance to do the decent thing. And didn't. That's why.

Human nature being what it is, I doubt very much if more than 10% of the people in this country would give it back.

Probably not. So hypocrisy most probably abounds. Regardless, he's still a complete and utter *%$@ as would anyone else be who did the same.

In my case it's jealousy. I have to go to work and do long hard hours to make less in a year than he makes off his pension each month, and if I screw up I won't get a golden handshake!

I don't hold his pension against him, and I don't agree with vandalising his house... but I understand ;)

Donkmeister, almost right, its just "Ned" ;) and I think your right, they wouldn't have enough savvy to do this.

surprised it hadn't happened before now - was probably a middle aged man whos lost out on his shares.

tend to agree though, who wouldn't take the pension and live the rest of life somewhere quiet! hes only taking what has been agreed with and by some reports, its down to others in RBS/government ministers who missed the trick to strip him off the cash

Shame for the kids though, they had to be removed from their school!

Hardly scarpered with his tail between his legs though, has he: he's still in the same house. It's understandable that people feel he's ripping the p*ss.

That may well be true, but the fact is, he *could* have handed all/some of it back, *if* he'd had an ounce of common decency coursing through his veins.

Shame for the kids though, they had to be removed from their school!
And I can't believe that that likelihood did not cross his mind, but still he kept his own self-interest absolutely top of the pile.

Fred shouldn't be getting it...The pr*t in goverment who sanctioned the go head for his nest egg should be brougt to book

hes apparently not lived in the house since this all started - apparently been living in Glasgow.

Had also heard that RBS were still paying for private security for him!!
