so its ok to have to service 2 boilers but not a boiler and unvented cylinder? whats the difference drivel?

You are drivelling! Please stop. Two services, the same as a boiler and an unvented cylinder. The two combis will give 100% CH & DHW backup. The owner has to take into account. It boils down to this.. The annual service costs are the same, BUT:
  • The two combis are cheaper to fit
  • You have 100% CH & DHW backup.
  • DHW delivery is vastly superior. The ATAG 51kW combi delivers 1.500 to 1,560 litres/hour. No unvented cylinder can compete with that DHW delivery, unless it is commercial sized.
  • No large cylinder taking up space.
Easy to understand. Got it? :)

are you the famous ***** george? If so do you wanna buy a dog?

Erh, he could not find the answer to my question either. Like I said, that one is hard to google.

The 9 kW electric heater needs a cable. That is no secret. You size the cable to suit. No secret. How come you find that difficult to understand?

Do you think this small electric heater needs its own power station?

A small instant electric heater can be fitted in-line on the combi DHW draw-off pipe. This will do a shower and some two taps as well.

I think its very clear indeed what you wrote!

I dont consider a 52 kW electric heater to be in any way small !

In fact the 225 Amps this would require is over three times the capacity of a normal domestic electricity supply !

No wonder the OP will be confused ay all this incorrect advice.

For the OP and anyone else who does not know, George retired years ago from an office design job on large gas burners for commercial boilers. He has never installed or repaired practical installations and he is NOT registered for gas work.

nonsense, most properties will already have a cylinder in place and most of the pipework available at point. As opposed to your ridiculous idea of having to find another location for a boiler and run all the pipework to it.
  • You have 100% CH & DHW backup.
Most people can survive without heating for a day or two. I carry electric heaters for my customers for emergencies, they plug into the wall and cost about £8, you may have seen them in one of your trade mags
  • No large cylinder taking up space.
You still need another reasonable space for a boiler, the difference is negligeble.

Just admit the idea was stupid. Your making yourself look stupid

9 kw get real

George I'm wanting to buy an inexpensive caravan for my dog, as you have years of experience living in these can you give me a few pointers? I'm also looking to avoid paying tax of any kind and building on green belt land illegally do you offer some kind of consultancy on these matters as I understand your an expert.

Also how much to relay my drive its 4mx10m, I'd pay cash and make you plenty of cups of tea.
Many thanks.

nonsense,

Again..The two combis are cheaper to fit. One quality, combi and cheap B&Q cheapy for backup. Both using the same gas pipe, as they will not on at the same time. This has already been stated, you seem to forget easily.

Most people can survive without heating for a day or two.

Stop being silly and get the point. Do you understand what 100% CH & DHW backup means? If not get back top me, and I will try to get you to understand that simple point.

The 12 kW version can cope with two low flow taps - the makers sell it saying that. Get it? That is you now sorted on you lack of understanding on that point. This is encouraging. :)
