You are drivelling! Please stop. Two services, the same as a boiler and an unvented cylinder. The two combis will give 100% CH & DHW backup. The owner has to take into account. It boils down to this.. The annual service costs are the same, BUT:

• The two combis are cheaper to fit
• You have 100% CH & DHW backup.
• DHW delivery is vastly superior. The ATAG 51kW combi delivers 1.500 to 1,560 litres/hour. No unvented cylinder can compete with that DHW delivery, unless it is commercial sized.
• No large cylinder taking up space.

Easy to understand. Got it?

I dont consider a 52 kW electric heater to be in any way small !

In fact the 225 Amps this would require is over three times the capacity of a normal domestic electricity supply !

No wonder the OP will be confused ay all this incorrect advice.

For the OP and anyone else who does not know, George retired years ago from an office design job on large gas burners for commercial boilers. He has never installed or repaired practical installations and he is NOT registered for gas work.

nonsense, most properties will already have a cylinder in place and most of the pipework available at point. As opposed to your ridiculous idea of having to find another location for a boiler and run all the pipework to it.

Most people can survive without heating for a day or two. I carry electric heaters for my customers for emergencies, they plug into the wall and cost about £8, you may have seen them in one of your trade mags

You still need another reasonable space for a boiler, the difference is negligeble.

I'm also looking to avoid paying tax of any kind and building on green belt land illegally do you offer some kind of consultancy on these matters as I understand your an expert.

Again..The two combis are cheaper to fit. One quality, combi and cheap B&Q cheapy for backup. Both using the same gas pipe, as they will not on at the same time. This has already been stated, you seem to forget easily.

Nice try bumwell, but it won't fly. Cable sizing is easy to google, cable heatspecs are not. That is why I asked you in my post what the heatspec was, not the cable size.
