Ignore GB, he is giving misleading, incorrect and plain stupid advice.

Having read some of his posts I assume he is connected to broag and/or a thermal store or heat bank manufacturer. He also seems to have severe learning diffiulties and several alias'/alter ego's.

Georgebumwell have you seen your psychiatric nurse recently I think your dosage may need to be reviewed.

Call nhs direct and seek advice.

Or as backup, buy a small cheap B&Q combi, and use the same gas pipe. Have a throw-over switch that only had one combi on at a time. ....................................................
then you need an annual service charge for the cylinder which has to be done by a G3 installer which costs every year.

so its ok to have to service 2 boilers but not a boiler and unvented cylinder? whats the difference drivel?

georgebumwell do you actually have any qualifications or experience in the plumbing or heating game?
Here is a clue for you, ,
legion gets barred, and the next day dickpuller and gb are back. coming up with the same sort of nonsense, and making the same kind of impossible claims.

OP, george is a troll, not a rgi, follow his advice at your peril.

finally worked out what the clown george bramwell is actually good at!

cutting and pasting the same drivel from his previous posts

A small instant electric heater can be fitted in-line on the combi DHW draw-off pipe. This will do a shower and some two taps as well.

A shower AND 2 taps, from 1 little electric heater? You just lost all credibility.

Should be:
A small instant electric heater can be fitted in-line on the combi DHW draw-off pipe. This will do a shower. Some will do two taps simultaneously. That is not all three together. They are around £110 and small and can go under a sink.

I assume you are not very bright and work for an unvented cylinder maker, as you push this stuff when other superior alternatives, with better cost/benefit ratios, are available.

As you are a very confused person, reverting to personal attacks rather than the technical points, point me to the points you lack understanding and I will help you.

What I wrote was easy to understand, so I assume you have poor comprehension. Come back to me and point out your misunderstanding and I will help you.

Right above a post from bigbummer, what a coincidence.
So tell us bumwell, can you remember the heatspec for this inline heater you used, or did you hook it up on normal 2.5 mm?

don't be so silly ben, this fictional "inline" job doesn't exist nor does georgebumwells/bigburners credibility.

A shower and two taps need about 22 li/minute!

That will need a heat input of about 52 kW.

Has George really considered the power wiring that would need?

His small under the sink electric heater has a 2 kW element and is oin no way comparable.

The problem with a site like this is the OP has no idea how to know the credentials of those giving replies.

The rule of thumb for unvented cylinders is 50 li plus an additional 50 li for each resident. This is only an approximation and 125 is usually used for two people and 300 li will manage six people because the number of baths will not allow all to be used at the same time.

I know that, but high temperature cables are not that easy to find on google, if you don't know them it can take quite a while to find the answer. If you do know what to use to connect them, you know the answer by heart.

conveniently Bramwell answered everyone except me. I'll give you a chance to redeem yourself....go...

It is clear you can't reads posts properly. Try again :) What didn't you understand?

Exactly and you should stick to fixing boilers and changing pumps. Installation is way out of your experience.
