I didn't have any other option. I was wondering if anyone else had any better ideas? As the clamp certainly wont be in an accessible place.
The mft is actually there to stop door swinging shut
I'm not sure it's 'inaccessible' is a BS7671 sense - i.e. a non-MF JB there would probably be technically compliant (if it were not for the proximity to the gas pipe!). In any event, is there actually any explicit requirement for MEB/MPB terminations to be 'accessible'. It would make some sense, but I'm not at all sure that there is any such explicit requirement.
Well if someone ever did an EICR they might not be so reasonable. Condition and accessibility of main protective bonding conductor connections (543.3.2; 544.1.2)
And with it being a new peice of bonding i would like to have removed the ambiguity.
Anyone think it would be worth a metion on cert ? "i know the m.e.b. is in a rubbish place but i had no choice. I mean cut me some slack1 i had to lie belly down on that carpet for 30mins "
The locations is going to be documented on the cert anyway, if your confident that the clamp is visible and accessible, no probs! I have seen much worse.

Quite. What would you say (given that it appears to be compliant) - just that it's 'awkward'? Anyway, pragmatically, what would it achieve? - no-one is going to move the gas meter as a consequence, regardless of what you write!

I know what your saying John but there a lot of "look how clever i am - that last sparky was shi*e " type tradesmen about. I would just like to get in there first. Defuse the argument for them. Maybe its how we are programmed to think nowadays watch your arse.
I knew that the clamp had to go there and am fine with it. I just like to know what you guys think thats all.
And its a welcome distraction from invoicing.
Its made you the superspark you are today though.
On the subject of good old days (sort of) i was in wholesalers and they were showcasing a multi screen cctv setup with camera on car park camera on counter ect.
on one of the cameras a bloke was a counter with a very unflatering view from high level /behind showing off his thinning out hair. i thought poor bast*rd look at his baldy spot. of course i was even more upset when i realised it was me.
