You need to expand on the work "unattended"..... if you had a huge house (as some plumbers do), then does 10 yards equate to "unattended"? do you need 4 doors between you and the child to define "unattended"?
Firstly, Bean, I already stated that the McCanns made a mistake, we all know that. But if you cared to read this thread, then I think we'd all agree their intention in leaving 20 yards more to Maddie wasn't an "intention to get her abducted"?
And what about the abductors? are you not going to criticise them either?

They were 50 metres away getting legless. The girl wandered off (though they initially said there was a break-in). Then the mum phoned a friend in the UK and said 'They've taken Maddy'.
How did she know there was more than one? How did she know she didn't go out looking for her parents in her nighty? How did they know she hadn't fallen down a storm drain?
Something doesn't add up - and we all know that.

But I have read the thread, hence my post, and I think you've made some very valid points.
'Intention' has nothing to do with it though, I'm merely pointing out the stupidity that should have been avoided.

Well I appreciate that comment... something Joe has never done.
But my point is this...
We have a pair of parents that made an error of judgement. And we have a missing girl. Why is she missing? because she wandered off and died, or was taken.
So, say the parents made a mistake, and she wandered off and drowned, then yes, Joe is right and the world is sorted for Joe. But what about the other option>> that she was kidnapped? who's to blame then? Joe won't even venture down the route of criticising a potential paedophile gang.... why not?
Until we have evidence, then the priority should be finding the girl shouldn't it?

As an epitaph, this thread is meaningless in the Maddie and the McCanns situation. However, I wish all innocent parties well and all the guilty the worst they could possibly get.
As for this site, LMB has proven there is hope... We didn't agree on certain points, but LMB had the grace to acknowledge an oppinion different to his (her) own.
And Joe... I've come to the conclusion that Joe is an unfortunate idiot. He lives and thrives on winding people up. Fairly intelligent, and quite clued up, but just not cared for.
I think that if you want a reasoned debate, then ignore Joe's antagonistic challenges... certainly don't get into a debate with him, he'll use rhetoric and circular arguments to bore you to death...
