A pretty useful method for checking whether you are at risk from diabetes. Up for it?
Basic diabetes test.

Apparently I'm at increased risk solely because I haven't died of anything else yet - 9 points for being old.
Same as ^^
Low risk 6. Oddly they do not ask about diet.

I'm at the low end of Moderate. 17. But I knew that.

I take a low dose of bp tablets and as a result have a urine and bloods check (m.o.t.) every 12 months. They test for a lot of stuff including diabetes, liver function, kidneys, cholesterol, etc.
Always comes back as 'normal'. Happy days.
I never eat between meals.
I went camping with four other families last bank holiday and was astounded at how much and how often other people eat. Some of them spent the whole day 'grazing'. I couldn't believe it when one parent was dishing out cakes 40mins before we were due to eat our tea.
People do laugh at my regime but the heaviest I have ever been is 12.5 stone and I am a shade under 6'-0". I even managed to fit comfortably into a pair of 32" waist golf trousers recently. I was chuffed until I found out they were Americanised sizes! Tried the same sized pair of Lindeberg and couldn't even do up the button.

Just had the e-mail back from the diabetes people. Would have only scored 1 point (for being male) had it not been for those pesky b/p tablets!

I thought that too. I suppose, to be politically correct, the list of 'ethnicities' was written in alphabetical order.
Too much to hope for that the indigenous majority (for the time being, anyway) could come first!

For those that are interested, my understanding is that ethnicity has an influence on your chances of becoming diabetic.
