you can happily park on the street for free if you want as parking restrictions are normally 8AM to 6PM.

the problem arises when you have space for 500 cars, and 2000 drivers want to park there.

Charging and other restrictions limit the ability of some people to hog all the spaces all day, every day.

(this does not apply to the rich, who are happy to flout traffic rules as the cost of fines does not trouble them, which is why parts of the West End have very fast tow-away and lift-away systems).

Why is a senior engineer spending his time making silly sign posts to scam money out of the general public and posting about it on here? The local authority really has become a bloated cancer on society. And a farce. And not just Wyre, nationwide.

What is council tax for?

The reason for stealth taxes like this is because local authorities have massive Lobo loans they can never afford to repay, taken out irresponsibly. They don't want you to know about this.

Most of what you pay to the local authority doesn't go on services, it goes on paying debt interest to parasitic money lenders.

I don't believe in a 'sick' charge - interpret that word any way you want to.

Most civilised nations don't force you to pay the way UK PLC does!

Are you in favour of hospitals charging patients to park at the hospital? If you were visiting a terminally ill person, i.e your child, would you have the mentality at that time to deal with a load of spare change and confusing scribbles ?

The mentality of charging in hospital car parks.. it's an attempt to discourage people taking advantage of free parking in a hospital then poppin' off to the shops. In doing so denying a space to those people visting the hospital. These days, people don't visit town centres as they're run-down hell holes stuffed with coffee shops, charity shops and betting shops and not much more - so somewhat needless to discourage people further. No doubt the cash injection to the NHS is welcome and now it is established practice to charge in a hospital car park I can't see the practice being overturned any time soon.

Could it be that in UK PLC people are so used to being ripped off in every walk of life, that our mentality is now to not give a stuff?

Year by year the majority pay more and get less, whilst a few get richer!

Personally I'll bend every rule and get away with paying out as little as possible, which I believe is the way most people now think...

Because people have been squeezed so hard they have nothing left to give!
