something based on the Switzerland model.

oh, you mean a deal.

No voice in the European Parliament. No seats on the council.

One of the options that has been available since well before the referendum.

That the Quitters would never agree to choose.

Quitters can never agree on anything.

Remember you never chose?

And no benefits. It's worse than the deal we have now.

so that's you. "Please sir, may I have some less?"

Could have been done years ago, swiss model, with a variable cap on immigration, fax over the offer, say sign here, and wait... don't do it, we'll stay and destroy you from the inside.

Childish, and not in the spirit of the EU, but it's what I'd have done.

Hmmm. Your example says Norway are still bound by EU rules and have to allow free movement of people? Well, we're off on a cruise to Norway tomorrow. Stopping in four places. I’ll let you know when I get back whether we felt safe walking the streets and whether there are high concentrations of different races in certain areas but I think it’ll be nice and clean with no foreign beggars pestering us. I’ll listen out for Eastern European accents too - should be the same proportion over there as over here if they have the same access shouldn’t there?

I have nothing against foreigners. As long as when they come over here they pay their way or do a job of work. I don’t like our own home-bred work-shy scum that thieve and ponce off the state. What does that make me?

I wonder if motman can tell us a way we will be better off as a result of resigning from the EU.

No he can't.

He just likes whinging about foreigners. A constant grumbling aimless thread for him.

I see hatejob is falsifying quotes again.

Don't need to. We're already in.

But the Quitters can't agree on any way that UK will be better off as a result of leaving.

You, for example.

Yes, and that's gone swimmingly hasn't it. Ten years of wage stagnation and still further downward pressure due to globalisation, despite record spending on overseas aid we have mass migration from Africa causing even more pressure on public services, not to mention the need for security guards at German swimming pools, EU imposed controls on landfill resulting in 'recycling' being exported to third world countries and suddenly we have a crisis where our oceans are full of plastic, coincidence?, co2 targets that veer countries away from truly green energy policies like nuclear when all the while some countries, notably Germany are burning more coal than ever to make up for the energy deficiencies caused by windmills, a single currency with only one beneficiary (Germany), and a common agricultural policy with only one beneficiary (France).
The EU is the driver and indeed driven by globalisation, ironically, it is globalisation that will now punish Germany and France, it's a good time to leave the eu before the brown stuff hits the fan, and it will.
John, you and you're ilk really seem to despise this country and hate the thought of it succeeding away from the eu, that's fine, perhaps you should take your public sector pension and leave, go and live in your beloved eu, a word of advice though, keep some of your savings in Sterling.
