This idea that it is a mild flu for anybody under 70 is clearly untrue.
I told you this yesterday. But you keep repeating it.
Low-risk, not zero-risk.
I hope your friend recovers ok.
I'll second that.

I wish I had a full hazmat suit, I would wear it to the supermarket just for a laugh.
Or taking the dog for a walk.
Don’t even joke about that. She could always move in with you and the wife Mottie???

Well, our son who works for Fords has been laid off for a month so my wife won’t have to look after our grandson once a week. Our daughter and her fiancé are both working from home. Because of that my wife, being in a high risk group, has decided she’s going to self isolate for 12 weeks unless they can move her out of the crowded office into one of the empty ones they have or be allowed to work from home. No point in her being double cautious and crossing the road to avoid other walkers, not going to the shops, not visiting our son or daughter, grandchild or parents and then sitting in a space three times a week with three others that don’t have a metre between them. If they sack her, they sack her. So what? Because of that, I’m going to tell the schools that it’s pointless her self isolating if I’m not. Going to try to be as careful as we can and only go out to the shops when I absolutely have to.My wife works for the NHS and is in the high risk group as she has asthma and automatically gets the flu jab. Yesterday her boss assessed her as fit to work as she doesn’t come into contact with patients. There’s 4 of them crammed into a (literally) large converted broom cupboard with less than a metre between them (audio typists for the gastroenterology department consultants) One of the other ladies has a husband on chemo. She’s been deemed fit to work too.....
Nah. He works on the line pulling random engines off and testing that they have been built to correct spec.Mottie- if your son a mechanic or salesman?
