That's exactly it. With all the other questions taken into consideration, the ultimate question about an immigrant is:

Is the person for or against us?

If he is against us, he shouldn't be here, regardless of how needed his skills are, or how war-torn his country.

I am not sure how you are using the word 'foreigner'. Accurately or discriminatory?

Now now Tony Blair, "foreigner" has a specific meaning, do not try to blacklist it or demonise those who use it:

"Not of or in one's own country".

We now have so many foreigners in our own country that we are cautious of using words merely descriptive of them. J'accuse EFLI Impudence!

We used to say, if we had a splinter in our finger, or a bit of dirt in our eye, that it was a "foreign body". This expression has faded from use, due to pressure from the loony left.

I am a little concerned that we might continue this thread and start to try to work out what food causes and cures Covid-19. Andy appears, today, to want the term "foreigner" to mean a person who is not a citizen of the country in which s/he lives. Antecedents and race are not mentioned so he does not consider them to be relevant today.

Which is quite different from only accepting a person to be "English" if they have generations of English heritage in their ancestry.

So today, Andy accepts that an immigrant who has become a citizen is not a foreigner.

he also accepts that a person who does not align to the cultural and behavioral norms of the country, such as Oswald Mosley or Yaxley-Lennon, or the Yorkshire Ripper is not a foreigner. So behaviour, crime and violence are no barrier.

He does not say that a person who dodges taxes abroad, for example in the Virgin Islands or Monaco or Panama, is a foreigner.

Surely if Corona kills more minorities than whites, then people in the likes of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia will be decimated?

If you read studies on the effects in India for instance, you'll see an unexpectedly low infection and death rate for such a large, dense and poor population.

And it seems that the study is saying "only minorities in the UK" are being disproportionately affected, as it's certainly not the case in other countries.

London the other night was empty. I did see that most if not all shops takeaways were foreign owned.

Being an Englishman is about a definitive set of traits, quirks, qualities, mannerisms, habits, customs, manners and shared qualities. It's something that is bred into someone over generations and is nothing to do with class.

Ethnic identities usually include race myths about shared ancestry and values which are unique to the tribe.
