Economy isn't rising.
Economy is rising in comparison to spring lockdown, that's not the same thing

And unfortunately Dangee you are incorrect, the UK economy benefitted from the EU.

Economic damage to the UK over last 30 years has been due to short term neo liberal domestic policies......but hey you keep blaming the EU because your right wing media has told you to do that......what are gonna do next year when it turns out leaving the EU has damaged the UK?

Imagine a journey from Ipswich to Norwich...

But after 6 months of trying to get there you end up in Chelmsford!

Still going backwards despite the vast amount of money you've used to 'make the journey'!

Fact it's still a lot lower than it was and the recovery is worse than others. It has been all along in some ways even going back to the banking crisis. ;) At least we didn't have a significant drop in bank rates when covid struck as we couldn't put it up again as others had.

Out of interest, do other countries announce economic data around the same time? It would be interesting to see comparisons.
I’d ignore China’s though. Not even worth reading.

Economy info has been on the TV news, graphs even to scale several times recently. Bought on due to the recent growth announcements.

Base rate. Something caused me to look on the web. The one I remember clearly is the USA. Went up post banking crisis and down again due to covid. The reason I looked was a feeling that we are stuck in a very low base rate economy as increasing it would upset too many apple carts. Rents and mortgages only being part of it. It's supposed to be used to control inflation and there were murmurs about risks of deflation which is seen as bad news.

I've also wondered about very recent financial easing and how others have done.
