Seems that celotex fiddled the fire test on there insulation to get it approved

They knew full well that it was not suitable and a fire hazard

Saint-Gobain, French company, say no more, worse than the Jerries.

French

jeez us wept , if there is any s*** going on in the world u can bet yer arris the French are involved some how

must make a note to myself dont work for the French

they would rip u off (scoundrels)

I see something tonight on the new how the government are paying for strip and repair. On private flats the residents are being charged.

How can this be, why on earth are these companys not footing the bill?

yes its a total disgrace some of these flats are at present worth zero

some of the residents are faced with massive bills

plus paying for 24 hour fire wardens

tis a total scandal

Total Scandal. These people need to pay even if their company no longer exist.

Saint-Gobain are a huge company, they own Lafarge which took over British Plasterboard and I recently found out they own Jewsons.

listening to the radio report

it would seem that the entire process from surveyors , installers , sub contractors , inspectors , suppliers

was a complete nonsense from the start

some of this insulation has been described as more flammable than petrol

and there lurking in the back ground are the French ;)

A couple of years ago i uploaded a video showing how celotex would burn very quickly and instead Quinn would just char over but not burn.
The video disappeared.
I uploaded it again and disappeared again...

It's all drama.

Everyone knew, or more specifically anyone/everyone involved in procuring, specifying, designing, project managing and using any foam insulation, knew (and knows) that Celotex along with any other foam insulation product burns. It literally is not rocket science.

I suspect that the whole point of having a building control inspection regime is to check that products used are suitable.

Building control are just part of the gravy train.

Flammable material is used in buildings everywhere. Surely it’s how it’s encased that is important? I wouldn’t hesitate to use celotex under plasterboard.

How long till they make anyone living in a thatched cottage have a 24 hour fire warden?
