Wait until transam's frequent, numerous, repetitive, xenophobic, racist and islamophobic postings take effect.
France has essentially lost all of the conflicts it has engaged since WW2. It surrendered to Germany, then surrendered to the Vietnamese at Dien Bien Phu, then lost its main colonial possessions in Indochina and Algeria..Froggies.......lurvvvv a bit surrender.

Are you still harping on about WW2? It was over 75 years ago. Even I wasn't born then.

Oddly, nowhere near as much as the UK lost when it was forced to hand back The Empire.

"A sheriff’s deputy is under fire for saying the main accused in the Atlanta spa shooting, in which eight people died ....."

Nice reporting.

We educated them and set them on their way. Some countries just messed it right up afterwards, but hey-ho they have no-one else to blame.

I was hoping Twister would bring up modern slavery. Your correct. Nothing we can do for the poor souls in history but we can help those who are trapped today.

I think you may be referring to a post from someone I've blocked and can't see.

But yeah, no other slavery matters and the African slave card can be played for eternity. Not even the Asian slaves in the Middle East as we speak. Non-black lives don't matter.

Lmaoooooffff...you harp on about colonialism and slavery ya daft ar§e.frequently FFS.

You harp on about slavery. How long ago was that?
There is a massive difference.
France lost to Germany during the early days of WW2. Fortunately the end of the war turned out differently. But that is beside the point.
But nations have moved on, friendship and mutual cooperation has been rebuilt.

Some of you are harping on about French soldiers and people being killed and defeated, and trying to draw a comparison with slavery and slaves.

Slaves were captured, died, were killed and their children and grandchildren were born into slavery, Their ancestors still suffer racism and discrimination born out of that slavery. So the effects are still suffered today.

France and the WW are history, and we've moved on, well most of us. There's still some who want to harp on about it.
The effects of WW are still felt in some places, and those are taken into account. We don't stop talking about those issues.
So where the effects are still felt and seen, we continue to discuss it, or we ought to.
Even transam is still affected by the bigotry born out of fascism, and we still talk about that.

It's called history and history is very important, that is why it is taught in schools. If you don't know where you came from, how can you possibly know where you are going? Understanding history, helps us avoid the mistakes of the past.
