Is France better than UK?

I suppose now you want me to dig out 20-25 year old evidence to prove that I've been to froggyland.
Nae bother, you'll claim to have posted it many times, but no-one. including yourself, will be able to find it.
And you'll keep repeating the same old claim over and over again.

BTW, they don't really have snails in. You're clearly under some kind of misconception.
Pain au Raisins, Snail, Escagot – a pastry with many names
One of the most loved pastry items with multiple identities, Pain au Raisin. Though it is widely known as Pain au Raisins (or Pain aux Raisins), it is also called escagot and snail. Many Aussies know this item as snails due to its shape.
You be careful when you go to buy your tin loaf, or your Victoria Sponge, or your chocolate fingers.
You'll probably be safe with your crackers. ;)

When did i ever claim to have posted evidence of being to froggyland?
Your drugs are burning your last remaining lonely neurons.

I passed through France years ago.
They had fantastic trains back then.
According to Boris the UK /EU trade deal has been ratified, although there are a number of outstanding issue's to be resolved, maybe its time for a cessation of hostility towards the French and others.

If we say nice things about the French to the French, they might be more inclined to relax their rules about visa's and that sort of thing.
They could be persuaded to stop eating horses and snails if shown an example of how to behave.

'You'll', a shortened version of 'you will', future tense. If I'd said 'you've', (past tense) then you would have a valid comment, but I didn't, and you don't.
'You'll claim' was a predictive behavioural trait of yours, based on your previous behaviour.

Your hatred is burning your last remaining rationality.

There's nowt wrong with eating horsemeat, it's leaner than beef. Like beef steaks, the more tender the meat the less the taste, imo. But it tastes very similar to beef.
Now snails in garlic butter. Yummy. Same as oysters au naturel. But only occasionally. I don't want to spoil a good thing by overdoing it.

We went oyster collecting once, with some visitors. We collected about 3 carrier bags of oysters. I've restricted myself to just 6 or so since then. Too much of a good thing.

Is France better at what precisely?..Such a vague question. Both countries are great.

It was a humorous but topical comment.
Take it as humour if you wish, or use to vent some fury, if you wish.
Or use the thread to provide a rational argument.
However you wish to respond is fine by me. It wasn't intended as a serious argument.

Finally a reasonable comment.
Although horse meat doesn't taste like beef at all, it's a lot better and tenderer.
It's the meat of choice in many parts of Italy too.

Why do people criticize the French for eating snails, when they are pretty common in the UK too?

Not a great deal of difference between snails and cockles.

We also eat jellied eels, faggots

Haggis is sheeps heart and lungs.

And is there much difference between eating horse meat and venison?

I think fois gois and veal is disgusting

I'll eat fois gras, not very often. We usually go for other pates. I've never tried fois gois. ;)

Horse meat is much leaner than venison. There is a lean cut of venison, I can't remember whether it's the thigh or the shoulder, but it's usually tougher and more fat than horse meat. From memory, venison is more marbled with fat than beef. Although there are some lean steaks sometimes available. They're not cheap. Maybe they're from younger animals.
TBH, I can't remember what venison tastes like, even though I've had it a few times. Maybe it wasn't memorable.

I'm pretty sure that veal production with veal crates is no longer allowed. So the veal is simply the bull calves that would have been slaughtered anyway.
