Why boo at all?
Best to just cheer good play or groan at a missed penalty!
It was quite funny during lockdown hearing the canned cheers/groans (and indeed boos), no doubt being operated by an idiot with a few buttons in front of him/her but often at inappropriate times...

Hypocrisy is defending Bojo behaviour in public office but then not accepting such behaviour from your friends, family and colleagues.

It was awful but I can't help feeling there are countless stories of the opposite scenario where acts of kindness were displayed to opposing fans, for example the money raised for for the tearful German kid. They didn't need the money so it went to charity but it served to illustrate how the majority of people feel.
The mindless thugs are a tiny minority thankfully.
