Many of the people who died either caught covid in a hospital, or took it from a hospital to a care home.
We also lost many NHS staff to covid. Do you remember the days when we used to applaud them for their excellent work, before there was a vaccine to protect them?
Also, the NHS is failing right now. When somebody gets covid they have to isolate, so we effectively lose them anyway. And don't believe people who tell you that the vaccine does not stop you catching covid - there have been many cases of vaccinated people living with covid sufferers and not catching covid - just because we do not report statistics on things that do not happen, doesn't mean that they don't happen...

- Fewer NHS workers dying
- Fewer NHS workers passing covid on to patients

Its not only care home staff - Its contractors working there too (Electricians, plumbers, lift engineers, cleaners etc..). If you are not double jabbed you are not allowed on site....
I know a few staff who wont have a job today and also a few engineers that wont be visiting any more care homes.
Personally I think its stupid - they are struggling to find staff as it is. The rates of covid in care homes is now very low. They should have just mandated daily LFT tests for non vaccinated staff - or perhaps daily PCR tests? But saying that they should have just got the bloody jab.
