Talk of? Where - at the bus stop? There has been talk of fast tracking asylum seekers who are qualified health professionals, doctors especially.
Yeah, it’ll be easy checking the qualifications and credentials of those fleeing war-torn countries.

If we don't have medical pros with the wit and wisdom to be able to test them quickly and efficiently, we are already tom-tucked.Talk of? Where - at the bus stop?

I agree. I'm 70 years old, have diabetes and also recently diagnosed with heart problems (I received a pacemaker some weeks ago). However, I have worked until age 60 and I think I deserve 10 or so years of retirement. If you want to know why the NHS is overloaded, it's not the healthy young workers from overseas you should be looking at.
Have you got a mirror?
They would be undercut by the illegals

Do you not go for regular check ups for diabetes, I have six monthly blood tests, feet checks, retinal scans, issues of testing kit.I agree. On the other hand, apart from some pills every day, that is just about what I cost the NHS on a daily basis. I haven't seen a doctor for ages, as they seem to rely on phone calls, but even then I don't need to see any of them unless something unexpected happens.
Illegal immigrants have done nothing for this country, yet receive immediate medical attention upon arrival, free housing, spending money, etc, etc. They are not given work to do because they are here illegally. Perhaps if Boris or his successor accepted that they are here to stay, they may be required to work. Even then, what would our own fit young people do? They would be undercut by the illegals and find themselves unemployable. If some want to live on benefits, that's fine for them... until the government finds that it is uneconomical and reduces payments. What then?
I believe that we are not only overpopulated, but that the numbers continue to grow unsustainably.
The NHS isn't just short of medical staff. There are thousands of jobs in the NHS, and elsewhere, that Brits won't do. I don't advocate illegal immigration, but I do think we could encourage more immigrants in general. I happen to have several friends who are (legal) immigrants and I can assure you they are highly productive people who make a very good contribution to the economy. No problem if their qualifications match ours (and they are here legally).
Do you have any comprehension of a subject called "economics"?
Why do we need more people than we can house???
Well at least our MPs and Civil Servants have these!maybe we should live in a country that has decent wages, and effective minimum wage legislation.
Yes. I don't seem to have feet checks now, though.Do you not go for regular check ups for diabetes, I have six monthly blood tests, feet checks, retinal scans, issues of testing kit.
I agree, but what happens then to our own people who won't do this work? The NHS isn't just short of medical staff. There are thousands of jobs in the NHS, and elsewhere, that Brits won't do.
