In that context they may as well take a knee against cruelty to cats after the incident regarding the West Ham player earlier this year.

Black is just another term for non-white. Racism affects all non-white people and bodd knows it. Awareness is key and the whole knee taking thing has got people noticing. Why bodd chooses to focus on the word black, only he knows.

I was well aware of that, but for the victims to demonstrate against their treatment, kind of loses the effect. It's when the potential perpetrators start taking notice and responding that demonstrations are worthy of the issue.

In response to your rambling opinion of the direction of this discussion, may I remind you that it is you that has repeatedly resorted to the extreme in defence of your argument, and you haven't stopped yet.
Abusing the referee is punishable, by the referee, within the rules of the game.

Ignoring the footballers/soccer players the 'taking the knee' stance is now looking its impact. Maybe not in the USofA but elsewhere - can't say for sure as I don't watch/follow football.
It is or was becoming an interference at the start of F1 races even with the world wide following that sport enjoys.

So I do think the 4 or so times per season will have more impact than every match.
