Using cards/digital currency is a power grab from the poor to the rich!
I can't believe people can't see it.. The phone will turn into a digital ration book if people allow it to happen.

If I pay something £100 and that £100 is used to pay other things by other people, after the notes have passed 100 hands (100 transactions), there will still be £100.
Same transactions for same amount via banks, will be sucked up and disappear because of fees.
Where does the £100 go?
In the bank's pockets.

Some things are a con and some things are not. Sometimes people do not realise it is a con, sometimes people think there is a con when really there isn`t one. `Tappens all of the time. I`ll not mention Flat Earth, Moon Landings, Brexit, Covid, The Great Pyramid, The Loch Ness Monster etc etc

Yet more silliness. No reason to keep or top up a generator and how you equate that need with Smart Meters, beats me. Baffling!

Smart Meters are just dumb meters, with the ability added to communicate their reading to you and back to the supplier. Did you create all this kerfuffle when you originally had to have a dumb meter?

And have the ability to be turned off remotely if undercertain circumstances we have power shortages, oh and the ability to charge more than a dumb meter at peak times

Yet more silliness. I have had SM's for six years now, number of times they have disconnected me = zero. Number of times I anticipate being remotely disconnected = zero. Keep wearing the cooking foil hat.

guess you have missed the 3 or 4 warnings over this winter which isnt finished yet about the grid being at absolute limit and asking people not to use power .
We now have the push for consumers to use more electric and ditch gas when we have situations throughout the country were we cant build more houses do to no grid capacity .

Surely if they shut the grid down, everything will shut down - both dumb and smart meters? I remember grids being shut down years ago, long before smart meters were even thought of!
