The word gender came in to use, to avoid the double meaning of the word sex. it comes from the Latin (Type) Gender Ideology suggest Gender is a personal choice. You can choose your gender etc. Those who they term Gender Critical believe that gender and sex are interchangeable. For example the Gender Pay Gap. This judgement uses the term gender and sex as interchangeable terms. Male/Female man woman. A person who is a biological male/man does not become a female/women through assignment/reassignment. They acquire a prefix "trans-". No matter how good the boob job, hotdog or hamburger.
Your definition aligns with Gender Ideology - That fact that there is even a term Gender Critical, is proof that the definition is not settled.

Thee BBC is reporting that the Equalities watchdog will pursue the NHS if they don't change their gender policies. Presumably that will mean language like "people who breastfeed" will change to " women who breast feed". But it presumably doesn't mean that it will implement the MAGA agenda of erasing trans people from the map.

But on a serious note, the NHS could spend the money it gives to stonewall on much more useful things. In fact stonewall itself could do with a bit of a shake up. Those homosexuals I know, say it's been hijacked.
