The only two trans people I know both transitioned when they were over 50.

So 30 or 10 years ago they had not been officially recognised. Now they are. This does not support your impression that mentioning it makes people become trans. The same false argument is often applied to homosexual or autistic people.

• you had lived in your acquired gender for at least 2 years by 31 October 2018
• you have had gender reassignment surgery"

AFAIK most people who describe themselves as trans do not meet all these criteria.

Interesting. As far as I can tell, it only came about in the first place because of a ruling by the ECJ that it was against EU law. Are we still bound after Brexit.

The ruling said is was unlawful to discriminate on the basis of sex, which is exactly what is happening with different pension ages for men and women.

Seems bonkers for women to get state pension before men. Does anyone know how it came about? I.e the logic
