Yeah, I'm sure young/teen girls wouldn't feel uncomfortable at all exiting the cubicle they've just used to see men standing there. Or indeed to enter the space with men standing there and having to enter a cubicle.

And by saying that parts of an existing law are to be read as if certain words were inserted in certain places, then that is an alteration just as much as it would be if they actually made Parliament issue a changed version with the words in.

What's the difference between that and leaving or entering the main door to a traditional Ladies in a train station or a shopping mall or a restaurant and seeing men?

And I've been to places where the hand washing facilities are shared, including sharing one big circular basin with multiple taps on a central column. Didn't see anybody appearing to be embarrassed by washing their hands in front of "the others".

I've known restaurants with separate, signed, Ladies and Gents WCs (even though there's no difference between them apart perhaps from a bin in the former) and a single basin outside them.

You seem to be inventing reasons to be offended.

In scenarios where someone leaves the physical space of the toilet and washing facility, back into the public space, they have LEFT THE TOILET AREA. Of course it's different. The same when entering. If you can't imagine how some young (and adult) females feel about these mixed setups, then I conclude yes, you are thick.
