Mountain biking

That is a dropper. Not an adjustable seat post.

The idea is you set your seat correctly and "drop" it for down hill to allow you more control.

You can make a mudguard here:
Mudguards are for Poofs. Nothing like a mucky backside.

Interesting.
I hated riding in the rain.
Windy days you could lean into it and tred deep, like the day i trekked across the Forth bridge when the wind was so strong i nearly toppled when i reached the other side into a sheltered spot. That was on a 12-speed Raleigh racer, a thing of beauty, and i tilted the seat forward to get better slipstream over the 'bars. An adjustment that saved me on another occasion when i was gawping at the scenery near Blair Atholl and failed to spot a huge pothole that nearly wrested control from me altogether; wrenching the bike one way while i went the other. No cars behind, luckily, and the tilted seat made sure i stayed in saddle otherwise it'd be much worse.

Reynolds 531 tubing?

I always slam the bars even in a spin class. :D

I don't think so. It looked like this...

The frame wasn't rounded like you'd usually see but slanted and sleek for better aerodynamics. In top gear on a good day you'd really fly.

I had exactly the same one, when I was a kid - I bought it from Halfords.
It's 501 tubing. Reynold's "mid range" vs the "high end" 531.

Did about 25 miles today. I'm starting a tour of Wetherspoons pubs. First one Hertford.

There is no doubt that the electric motor makes riding easier.
However I'm still putting the effort in, I'm more inclined to take take risks with routes.

Today I found dead ends then turned around and went back on myself. I wouldn't have gone that with my old bike.

I followed my built in navigation rather than the one on my phone. I was taking a gamble and trusted myself with an unknown route.

I feel as if I'll do more miles and take more healthy risks.

My body has been really tight recently because of me teaching my Daughter football moves. The cycling has really loosened me up. And I think in part that is the motor. It's just a smother action for my body.

I may be talking crap but I really feel good for it.

Done 20 miles yesterday, on pedals.
New route studied at home beforehand, an hour well spend.
Despite being Saturday I found clear way apart from a couple of dog walkers.
Some very hard terrain with grass fields slowing me down and pumping blood in the quads.
1 litre of water to last the whole ride.
Urban mountain biking at its best.

Started out just after ½6
This should be my longest tour yet on my new bike.
