Nope I didn't, no need as I am tiling the chimney breast, this was purely to fill out the boarding so it gives a base to the tile adhesive.

Try and orientate the tiles so that your grout joints don't correspond with those plaster joints. Or just scrim it prior to priming/PVA-ing.

Without trying to deflate your enthusiasm, any problem that Pete has is pretty easy for any spark to diagnose for him. He has struggled with harmonised colours since 2006,

Frikkin harmonised colours :mad: What was wrong with the colour system we had before? Red yellow and blue were easy at a glance and solid green left no doubt as to what it was even for the novice. Black and brown in poor light must cause all sorts of problems(n)
